Going to a new place for the first time can be a very disconcerting proposition. We want your time at THF to be as stress-free as possible from the moment you park your car until you leave. Our goal is to remove as many of the man-made (church-made) obstacles between people and God as possible, so you can relate to Him and let Him do His work in your life.
 You Should Expect...
Expect to be welcomed. From the minute you drive up into the parking lot until you leave, those aren't fake smiles. We're really glad you came...from wherever life has brought you from. No one looks up or down on anyone else at The Heights. It is a true faith community. You have the freedom to be you.
Expect to be refreshed. Our style is casual. You don't have to dress up or dress down. You don't have to look one way or put up a front. We're all in this life together. We want you to not only see life from God's eyes, but to experience His hope in your life.
Expect to understand. The Heights has nothing to hide, so we don't hide behind language. We don't use weird or strange terminology as we share God's love. We speak words you use everyday as we celebrate God together...because we really want you to understand God's message to you. It's not weird or wild or mystical beyond comprehension. You will get it! Our messages and discussions together show that God is real, that God CAN relate, and that the Bible is still relevant and life changing, even in 21st century culture. You will love it.
Expect to be engaged. It's not about being preached to or singing the right song or saying the right prayer. We want you to encounter a real God. We try to stay out of your way and let God touch your life.
Expect to leave changed. A "Heights Experience" is all about you having a God-moment, maybe for the first time in a long while. The Heights Fellowship is deliberately different by design. We believe you'll think so too. |
