Jason Bishop
In December 2005, the THF Elders unanimously extended a call to Jason Bishop to fill the role of Pastor of Students and LIFE Group Ministries. Jason has been in ministry all of his adult life, answering the call of God at age 18. He was licensed to the ministry in 1989 and ordained in 1994. In 1996, he graduated from Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages.
Jason has served in various churches in Texas,
coming to Lubbock in 2003 from the Garland area. He is originally from Ohio,
but is a "grafted in" Texan, attending High School, college and seminary in
Texas. In December 1995 Jason made the second most important decision of his life when he married Caryn. They currently have two children: Jeremiah and Cayla. In addition to his duties on staff at THF, Jason is an active church planter, currently engaged in a new work in Lubbock County called The Journey. Our Team
