Holy Rhythms Book Club

When I began serving families at our church, I never promised to have all the answers or to be an expert on every topic. However, I did promise that I would always do my best to find great resources to share. I want to invite you to join our Holy Rhythms book club, where I will share resources I’ve found from experts I trust.

We will begin our book club by reading Raising Worry Free Girls, by Sissy Goff. Sissy is the director of child and adolescent counseling at Daystar Counseling Ministries in Nashville, TN. Since 1993, she has been helping girls and their parents find confidence in who they are and hope in who God is making them to be, both as individuals and as families. Raising Worry Free Girls includes effective strategies for girls ages 6 to 18.

Before the pandemic, 1 in 4 kids struggled with anxiety. Now, one year later, 1 in 3 kids struggle with anxiety and girls are twice as likely to be diagnosed. This matters to me because I have a daughter, and I want to do all I can to steward her heart well. I’m on this parenting journey with you. Join me to learn and pray, believing that God will equip us to fight for the hearts and minds of our girls.

We will begin reading just one chapter a week on April 5. We will finish the week of May 31, just in time for Summer! To join, follow these simple steps:

  1. Fill out this brief form so we know you are reading along with us.
  2. Purchase your copy of Raising Worry Free Girls wherever you like to buy books! Be sure to order soon so you have your copy ready to go on April 5.

Once you sign up, we will contact you about joining our online group. There, we will discuss what we learn and encourage one another. I am so excited for you to join us!
