Less than 1% of all humans who have ever lived have ever read through the entire Bible. That’s an astonishing statistic. In 2012, THF launched an initiative to encourage the THF Family to read the entire Bible in a calendar year. We heard amazing stories from many people. There was one constant: People had all these incredible stories and experiences because they were changed, affected and moved by the living Word of God as they walked a daily journey in the Bible.
The self-confession of the Bible is that it is: “living and active and sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)
David, the Psalmist, said of that the scriptures were his “delight; they are my counselors.” (Psalm 119:24)
That’s what “Journey:365” is all about. It is designed to help this – or any – year be the most successful year of your life. The concept is simple: read the Bible. We will provide several reading tracks to suit you. You can follow whichever plan best suits your time, schedule, and commitment level –
Plan 1) Read through the entire Bible in a year
Plan 2) Read through the Old Testament in a year
Plan 3) Read through the New Testament in a year.
They’re all found together here at the Journey:365 Command Center. You can choose which track you want to follow. We’ve taken the daily readings from the OneYear Bible and incorporated them into the plan. The idea is to get all of your family, friends, or study group to read along the same Bible path for the year. We not only believe that your life will be radically changed for the better, but we believe this common path will spark great fellowship, in-depth conversations about the scriptures, and a great opportunity to do life together in the community of Christ.
You do not have to wait for the calendar to roll around. Start any time during the year. So why not walk through this year!
